Posted by admin in : E-Government, Government, IBM Websphere, Uncategorized , add a commentOn the January 25, 2010 at the Presidential Center of Culture took place the extended meeting of the Ministry of Culture and Information staff with the participation of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Massimov, parliament deputies, heads of central government organizations and subordinate organizations of the Ministry of Culture and Information.
During this meeting the Portal of the Official (Kazakh) Language and developed language services were demonstrated.
The main goal of the portal is to provide a single point of access to numerous language services like electronic dictionaries for various subjects areas, tutorials, quizzes, terminology services, national corpus of the Kazakh language, encyclopedias, linguistics research support services, monitoring of the language situation monitoring etc.
The portal is intended for users of all levels: those who just begin to study Kazakh language, those who wish to improve their knowledge, those who learn new terminology in various fields, those who study the state and development of the language at a certain historical period, those who want to discuss and create new terms.
Portal is available in Kazakh, English, Russian, for Kazakh language Arabic and Latin alphabets are also available.

Language Portal for the Ministry of Culture July 18, 2008

Bimash was awarded this contract for the Kazakh Language Portal (KLP) back in May of 2007.
This Language portal was created for the presentation, reference and education of the Kazakh language for Kazakhstan’s population and other interested parties.
KLP consists of various online dictionaries, translation applications and multimedia presentations.
Bimash developed this portal using the IBM WebSphere SOA Architecture which is the latest iteration of Web 2.0 technologies.
Bimash is also responsible for developing and delivering the complex of IBM active network servers based on the System P environment that hosts this advanced language application.
Bimash participates in Kazakhstan’s Inaugural IT Congress March 14, 2008
Posted by admin in : Conferences, Government , comments closedBimash took part in a number of presentations and discussions highlighting the common interests and problems facing the domestic Kazakhstan IT Industry. Possible solutions and future directions were also discussed as part of these seminars.
Both the IT and Software Associations of Kazakhstan took the initiative to sponsor and organize this first annual KZ IT Congress. Representatives from various national agencies and ministries attended along with other business and civic VIP’s.
The main objectives of the IT Conference were:
- Consensus building among different IT participants and representatives for key agendas to help move the industry forward.
- Authoring a letter of recommendation to the National Government of Kazakhstan to do more to promote the domestic IT sector.
- Opening the adoption of this Congress to the Head of State.
IBM Mainframe for the Kazakhstan National Train System January 18, 2008

This process was completed in less then 6 weeks and ahead of schedule and within the budget allocated by the competitive bidding specifications spelled out in November, 2008.
